The 3 Top Things That Sell Books – Accept the Challenge
There are three things that sell a great book – ARC readers (those early reviews), fans on your email list, and Amazon reviews on your books.
If you want to work on any or all of these, I’ve got live events to get them done with you. I’ll be offering them twice a year, so if this isn’t the right time, don’t worry! Make sure to sign up the WTWA email list to know when future events are scheduled.
My goal is to help you sell your book!
The ARC Reader Challenge – 9/12 to 9/21
ARC stands for Advance Reader Copy. We’ll be looking for fans that will get an early copy of the book so they can leave you a review the day it publishes. This pushes your book up in rankings, gets it more visibility as your early readers share about the book, and it makes it easier to get future sales.
For this challenge it’s important that your book will be coming out in the next 6 months and have a great cover. If you don’t have a cover yet schedule time with me before the challenge and I can show you Canva or direct you to one of my trusted cover artists. You can schedule time with me here: https://calendly.com/sonjadewing/15-min-let-s-get-those-ideas-rolling

Get Reviews on a published book Challenge
Getting reviews is a lot of work. It takes time! In fact, it took me 3 years of experiments to get 40 reviews. Then it only took 8 months to get up to 121!
But once I reached 40 reviews, it was suddenly easier to sell my book through ads. I’ll show you how to get more reviews on your book.
Note: This challenge requires you to put some money into a reputable newsletter and offer your book for free – I’m estimating $25 to $40
I found through my own hard work that advertising a book with less than 40 reviews is near impossible to sell.
Monday Night 6PM Mountain
-We’ll talk about how to get those reviews (giving it out for free to reputable newsletters and contests)
-I’ll give you my list of all the newsletters that I used to get my book out there as well as the ROI I received.
-I’ll also talk about the not so reputable businesses that will try and get you to use them.
-We’ll sign up for one of the newsletters, see if we get accepted, and get our books set up for free on the right days.

Grow Your Email List Challenge
Your email list is your place for real fans – not just anyone. We’ll talk about what that means, and how to add real fans to our list.
Note:
This challenge requires you to put some money into a social media ad – I’m estimating $20 to $30.
In order to do this challenge you should have a email signup (I suggest MailChimp) and you need to have an optin to make this work the best – that could be a free short story, a free novel, or something that truly interests your target audience. Don’t have one yet? I suggest you work on one – you might want to check out the next Short Storyathon, or get to work on it now.
